Essential Job Functions:
1. Team Management
• Provide support to the Vice President of Business Development and agency administrators in training development and goal setting of agency-based marketing staff
• Provide classroom and field training
• Make marketing contacts with community-based medical and business professionals to include joint coaching calls with agency marketing and/or administrative staff
• Implement monitoring mechanisms to measure marketing staff performance and results
• Communicate effectively with agency marketing, office and field staff, Vice President of Business Development, Corporate President and Vice President to insure agency and company wide teamwork occurs and that goals are met, adequate recognition is given and corrective action is taken as warranted
2. Consultation
• Provide consultation regarding business development to agency and staff to enhance growth, community awareness and outreach efforts
• Train staff in marketing, referral development, barriers to referral development, competition, public relations and planning via corporate program/tools
• Assist in the development of collateral material to support the marketing and public relations effort
• Support the Medical Directors as needed in crisis and routine matters
• Assist in the development of all advertising, direct mail and promotional materials/events as needed
• Work closely with the Vice President of Business Development in joint planning sessions, training, etc.
3. Peripheral Marketing Activities
• Conduct peripheral (support) marketing activities that will facilitate area/business accomplishments
• Participate in local and government sponsored organizations, making presentations and joining as a member where appropriate to facilitate a broader knowledge of the agencies capabilities
• Monitor and analyze agency admit/referral ratio statistics, admit and discharge trend, etc. to identify trends
• Monitor opportunities for new services and nice services in communities with agencies
• Participate in the development and implementation of new services/programs including design, pricing, promotion, etc.
4. Partnership with Operation Management:
• Partner with the VP of Clinical Operations and VP of Business Development to meet business objectives
• Work cooperatively with the operations management team and agency staff to help determine business goals based on marketplace potential
• Monitor and analyze agency admit/referral ratio, statistics, admit and discharge trends, etc. to identify trends
• Make recommendations to the management team that will improve business results
• Participate in the selection of agency/branch sites for focused referral development programs
• Provide recommendations for referral development staff and/or position allocations
• Assist the development of marketing budgets to assure effective allocations of resources to reach growth goals and maximum allowable reimbursement is secured
• Maintain a working knowledge of federal and state regulations
5. Contracting:
